Rehearsals are well underway, we've got a poster and a soundtrack and costume fittings going on, and now you can BUY YOUR TICKETS so that you don't miss America's newest adventure in interactive theatre!
In the background, the production team has been laying the groundwork for our upcoming production: doing tech site visits, signing contracts, finishing last-minute script edits, meeting with Son of Semele personnel. However, the action begins in earnest on Sunday, when we have our first rehearsal. From that point on, it's an exciting and silly sprint to our opening night on March 8, 2013!
Looking forward to getting the cast together in the same room for the first time and hearing the hilarity that ensures! Thanks to our many AWESOME funders -- keep an eye open for rehearsal updates, and mark your calendars to see the show! With only half a day to go, TMTH is amazed and touched at the incredible generosity of the community of family, friends, strangers, and theatre lovers who have come together to support our project.
We are truly grateful for everyone's support, whether through financial donations or donations of volunteered time! Please check out our funders on the It Came From the ______! page! We're looking forward to meeting everyone and seeing the great improv and character interpretations at tomorrow and Thursday's (Jan. 16-17)
It Came From the ______! Associate Playwright Patrick Grode talks about artistry, South Dakota, law, cold weather and working with his sister. It's finally time! We're pleased to officially announce auditions for the Choose-Your-Own-Adventure play It Came From the ______! Auditions will be held at the Pieter Dance Studio, located at 420 West Ave 33

Please bring a headshot and resume with you (you can print off a copy of your headshot; we don't need a photo). You do not need to prepare an audition monologue, but read the attached script before auditions, wear comfortable clothes that you can move in, and come ready to show us some distinct characterization! The schedule: - The cast will be announced Jan. 21 or 22 - We will begin rehearsals the second week of February - Tech week will be the first week of March - Performances: Mar. 8-10, 14-16, 2013 - Please note that you will be expected to attend rehearsals and tech if you are cast in the show THIS IS IMPORTANT: Please RSVP to [email protected] l and tell us which night you plan to attend auditions, or if you are unable to audition at this time. As a final note, please remember to continue spreading the word about our Indiegogo campaign -- we are making slow but sure progress, but we really need everyone's help to make this happen! http://www.indiegogo.com/TMTH?c=home TMTH is gathering for the holidays to celebrate the (not-so-chilly) Los Angeles winter with a company reading of Charles Mee's Wintertime on Wednesday and Thursday this week. We're looking forward to getting everyone together for some Mazel Tov-ing, Happy Kwanzaa-ing, and Merry Christmas-ing as we celebrate the holidays theatre-style, by 'play'-ing together!
The pick-up company is meeting next weekend to do a reading and movement workshop with Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors. We look forward to combining the creative genius of CalArtians and Theatricum Botanicum alums to read and discuss this hilarious classic text!
Will Reinbold will direct this first workshop. |
